Denon Link Approved for DVD-Audio and SACD
Denon's proprietary digital audio interface now provides full support for SACD digital transmission.
Denon Link is a digital transmission technology developed by Denon that has won high critical acclaim as the best sounding high-performance digital audio interface.
Denon Link is used in Denon?s high-end home cinema amplifiers, DVD players and other components.
Denon has recently received approval as a licensor of Super Audio CD, enabling the brand to fully support all digital transmission specifications, including Super Audio CD, officially with ?Denon Link 3rd Edition? (otherwise known as Denon Link 3rd).
Denon Link 3rd will enable full-spec digital transmission of all sources, from CD and DVD-Video to the multi-channel signals of Super Audio CD and DVD-Audio. The performance of a Denon DVD player and an AV surround amp can be fully realised by simply connecting a dedicated Denon Link cable, allowing users to consistently enjoy the maximum sound quality of digital program sources.
Denon Link, for high-speed, high-grade digital signal transmission and playback:
Denon Link is a digital interface that uses high-speed transfer elements made possible with balanced transmission to achieve high-speed, high-grade digital transmission in real time and with negligible signal degradation.
Key features:
- Ultra-fast 1.2GB a second transmission
- Jitter free
- Carries all digital audio standards
- Outperforms HDMI
- Outperforms IEEE-1394 (also known as iLink or FireWire)
Denon Link enables direct transmission of PCM 24-bit, 192-kHz digital signals, jitter-free and with high S/N, from DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD, and other sources featuring high speed and high sound quality. Denon Link not only gives life to the high-quality sound reproduction capabilities of amps and DVD players, set-up is also as easy as connecting a cable.
Details of Denon?s upgrade programme for Denon Link equipped players and amplifier/receivers, will be announced on the Denon UK website in early June.
