Digimpro announces strong pre-sales of revolutionary 'di' music format by MCD Kft

General Interest Jul 24,2002 0

Digimpro today announced that its first CD-Rom is distributed exclusively by MCD Kft., a leading retail music dealer in Central Europe. Digimpro has signed an exclusive contract with MCD for the distribution of its first CD production in di format. Invented by Hungarian artist Sαndor Mester (also known as MS3), diTechnology is the first to cooperate digital improvisation or Multi-Version Play - every time a song is played it plays a different version or re-mix of the song. di breaks the rules of traditional music production by allowing not just one, but many versions of a song to be stored in one file. These files are re-mixed during playback according to the settings established by the artist during recording in the studio. Songs recorded in di are digital music files that can store virtually infinite versions of a song.

Hungarian band, Korai rφm is first artist to record their remix album in revolutionary di format. This CD-Rom is fittingly titled 'Life Isn't Static, Why Should Music Be?' Korai rφm is joined by star Hungarian DJ Jutasi and MS3 in this musical venture. Korai rφm, one of Hungary's most well-known dissident rock groups and underground Icons, sell their albums in Austria, Germany, UK and other European countries.

"All of us in Korai rφm are extremely excited to have our music provide the base of the first di recording. We believe that this is revolutionary technology, which will eventually take-off in the music industry." – said Emil Biljarski, leader of Korai rφm.

The first CD-Rom is a special, limited edition release with only 2000 copies available in Hungary and on the company's website.
