So how was the typing experience of this product? The Ajazz AK820 Max has a clean design with a nice color scheme, a compact layout, and up to three different color combinations to select from. The included keycaps are PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) known for their durability and long-lasting material. They tend to resist the natural shine that ABS keycaps develop over time. The keycaps feel well-designed and of good quality, and are very comfortable to use. The used switches are linear and feel similar to Cherry Reds, with a tactile response, enhancing the overall typing experience. Keys sound is soft and clicky so users can use the Ajazz AK820 MAX in an office or shared environment. The sound of the keys is more muted compared to Cherry browns. You can swap out the switches to fit your sound preference (extra buy either from EPOMAKER or other sources.) There is an LED backlight present with good brightness, more to the pastel side that won't bother you in total darkness, while the included lighting effects are good. This product also houses a metal volume knob, which we found to be practical in everyday use. The bad thing is that via the included software you cannot use it for other functions. EPOMAKER has included a printed manual in the retail case that explains the overall functions of the keyboard, which is a must for amateur users.

So everything is perfect? Well near enough, we do find some minor things that bothered us. First of all the keyboard case is plastic and seems to be a fingerprint magnet, but again how many times will you move around your keyboard? While having used typing at a full-size keyboard, the 75% keyboard layout will require some adapting from your side. Due to its compactness, keys like DEL, INS, HOME, PGUP, PGDN, and END are placed differently, compared to a normal full keyboard, so this may bother you if you use them a lot, and in the case of INESRT, you use FN+HOME instead. Some users may find it annoying that Key lettering doesn't light up. We would like the Type-C cable to be placed differently with some under the bottom cabling, but again this is a personal note. EPOMAKER offers for now only Windows Software to control the AK820 Max, and we find the design simple, and useful, even though we feel overall GUI could be better.

Overall the EPOMAKER Ajazz AK820Max is a fine product to choose from if you are in the market for a 75% mechanical keyboard. We found the overall typing experience very good with good performance and gaming, provided that you give yourself a little time to get used to it.
