Testing the EPOMAKER AULA F65 was a nice surprise since we didn't have experience with 65% keyboards in the past. At the start, we did have some issues with typing, but this product does require a learning curve to fully understand the included shortcuts and gain some muscle memory to speed up the typing speed. The included switches (Graywood V3) are somewhat different than Cherry Grey MX providing much more linear and not that much tactical feedback even if you are getting some. The product includes three connection types, wired (USB-C to A cable), 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth. The included dongle is small and can be kept inside the keyboard (magnetically attached). As happens with most EPOMAKER keyboards, LED is present with 15 effects, 6 static colors, and several color options for the side lights. All LED can be controlled either from the keyboard itself (via shortcuts) or via the EPOMAKER software, which only is provided for Windows users. The typing experience is nice the keyboard is comfortable with medium-sized keycaps, not low profile, however, which some may like others won't. You will get accurate keypresses with satisfying sound if you like mechanical keyboards. The sound is good enough and isn't silent. Compared with a standard keycap should be shorter (30%) so that requires some learning curve from your side, as we also mentioned earlier. The keyboard doesn't have any angle adjustment, which we didn't like, again it's a personal taste. As with all EPOMAKER products, the keycaps are not transparent, meaning the LED color will glow from the bottom, and in total darkness, you will have some trouble identifying which key is what, some may not like this. Due to its small dimensions and weight, it's easily movable and storable, after all, it's 65% sized compared with a full mechanical keyboard. You can swap out the switches to fit your sound preference (extra buy either from EPOMAKER or other sources.). Build quality is also very high, we didn't notice any quirks or strange sounds during our testing, for sure this keyboard will accompany you for many years.

So everything is perfect? It all depends upon personal taste, in general, we liked the keyboard with some minor issues. Due to the small dimensions, there is no display or volume knob on board, fair enough. When RGB is on full brightness battery life won't be great (as with most wireless keyboards), no extra key caps are included at the retail package, the included cable could be less stiff and the included software is only WIN compatible and its "basic" but works.

Overall, we do like the EPOMAKER x AULA F65 for its retail price, features, build quality, and performance. If you want a very minimal mechanical keyboard, look no further this one is the real deal.
