Google Holds Special Event on July 10th
Google has sent out invitations to a very select number of journalists to visit the Google campus on July 10th and 11th. Should we expect a first glimpse at the upcoming Moto X smartphone or anything else?
Google might not actually show the new Moto X smartphone itself, but the company is expected to unveil details about the Moto X customizaton features, as they have been widly advertised during the last few weeks. Assumptions include more customization in terms of looks for different colors and engravings, components for cameras. Mobile enthusiasts are event thinking of a reveal a new smartwatch or a Motorola-branded take on Google Glass.
In any case, Moto X has been reported to run Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and feature a 4.7-in. 720p touchscreen display. It is also expected to have a 1.7 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, NFC along with a 10-megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera.
Motorola has said that more than 2000 new employees in Ft. Worth, TX would be working on the new device.
Motorola is also expected to release the following handsets in the coming months: Droid Ultra Maxx, Droid (Razr) Ultra, Droid (Razr) M Ultra, Droid Ultra Mini, and Moto X.
