HP Is Rolling Out Budget Android Tablet
Hewlett-Packard unleashed its latest budget Android tablet in the U.S. Priced at $170, the new HP 8 will not break any benchmark records with its hardware but it's another option if you need a basic 8-inch tablet.
The HP 8 is powered by an Allwinner A31s 1.6GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor. It packs 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, and a microSD slot supporting up to 32GB.
The tablet has a 0.3 mega-pixel front-facing camera, and a 2MP rear-facing, comes with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and a 7.85-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. The HP 8's power pack is a 3,800 mAh battery promising up to 7 hours.
