HTC Vive VR Headset Goes On Sale For $799

HTC Vive VR Headset Goes On Sale For $799

Consumer Electronics Feb 29,2016 0

HTC's VR headset goes on sale for pre-order at Monday, February 29th for a whopping $799 - $200 more than the Oculus Rift at $600, and assumedly more than Playstation VR. Shipping for HTC Vive begins on April 5th, accroding to HTC.

Vive is a high-end VR headset: it’s got hand controllers and the "lighthouse" tracking system, which helps the computer figure out where you are in 3D space.

Enthusiasts with disposable income are going to buy the new device. The price could be a big problem for either the Oculus or the HTC Vive in these early moments.
