"..I-Jam Multimedia L.L.C. is showcasing its newest product - the IJ-888, a DVD/MP3 player.

The IJ-888 is a DVD/MP3 combo-player that works with home theater systems and can support a wide variety of CD formats, including CD-Audio, CD-ROM and video compact discs (VCD). Measuring 3.5- x 11- x 18-inches, this powerful AC power operated desktop unit features a luminous fluorescent display to show chapter, track number and elapsed time. It comes with a "jogging" knob, enabling users to play DVD titles at multiple speeds up to eight times faster, or slower than normal format. In addition, the IJ-888 can play up to eight different languages, with 32 subtitles available on a single DVD video disc.

To allow for extra high-resolution and the clearest, most robust images possible, the IJ-888 comes with an advanced 10-bit video D/A converter, which offers a horizontal resolution of more than 500 lines. And, when it comes to playing MP3 tunes, this DVD/MP3 player offers over 10 hours of continuous, uninterrupted music with just one CD-R disc. Featuring a Dolby Digital/DTS RF output, the IJ-888 can connect to any Dolby Digital AC3 5.1 home theater amplifier to enable a true ``surround sound'' experience. The IJ-888 also has a karaoke feature, designed to accompany video, for family fun. Available at selected retailers early 2Q 2000 IJ-888 has a suggested retail prices of $229.." NULL
