As you may know, Steam Deck offers only one TypeC connection port for either connecting to external devices or powering up the device as many other portable gaming consoles do. In that case, many users either are carrying TypeC dongles or looking for a nicely designed docking station. JSAUX offers several docking stations and we gathered their main features/differences

The HB0602 is the lower-end model that offers a basic 4K@60Hz output, one TypeC port for charging, one port for LAN (100Mbps), and two ports that support only USB 2.0. If you absolutely need the lowest possible price this is for you. However, we tested its bigger brother the HB0603 which boosts 1Gbit LAN and three USB-A 3.0 ports and comes with a $44 price point. The HB604 offers in addition more external resolutions frequencies (2k@120Hz), two USB 3.2 ports, and one M2 slot to further boost SteamDeck capacity (up to 8TB of NVME storage). Lastly, the HB0702 offers a Display Port if you need this with 2K@144MHz resolution.

As we saw earlier this is called a 6-in-1 SteamDeck docking station, that supports probably not only SteamDeck but also other TypeC portable gaming devices. The retail package is simple and small.

There isn't much at the box, only the docking station and some printed instructions in case you need them.

The docking station is made out of aluminum and has some rubber additions to prevent SteamDeck from slipping. There is a single 90degrees TypeC connection to plug at the SteamDeck.

At the bottom, there are several certifications and the product model number.

At the back, we will find all the ports, a TypeC port for charging (up to 100 watts), an HDMI port (4k@60Hz), and three Type A USB 3.0 ports. At the side area, there is also a 1X RJ45 1Gbit Lan port.

Installing the device isn't hard, just place it upon the dock and pug the type C cable.

Due to its design, if you place the SteamDeck at the center, a portion of the ventilation holes will be blocked, we didn't like that. You could place the SteamDeck as with the following picture again didn't have any issue dropping.

We connected the SteamDeck to the JSAUX HB0603 docking station and with an HDMI2.1 cable to a Sony X900H TV at HDMI 4 port. Using Windows 11 we did see that 4K @ 60Hz was possible.

Overall the JSAUX HB0603 6-in-1 Steam Deck Docking Station is a quality product that offers many ports, 1GBit RJ45 LAN, and HDMI out 4K @60Hz for your gaming needs. If you need to connect additional mice/keyboards and perhaps an external HDD, this also has been covered since the device supports 100Watt TypeC chargers as well. If we had to nag about something it would be that some ventilation holes are covered if you place the device at the center..of course, you can place the device at one side and solve this but a better design (if possible) would be ideal.
