LG Electronics has lowered the price of one of its DVD writers by 25 percent as part of a New Year's promotion. The 4x Super-multi DVD writer, GSA-4040B DVD, which can be installed in desktop PCs, can store and reproduce 4.7 gigabytes of digital content and data on a single disk. This is equal to the capacity of seven compact discs.

LG said the sale price has been lowered from 135 Euros to 100 Euros.
