The Taiwanese manufacturer has unveiled the SHW-16H5S, a new LighScribe-ready DVD burner. The SHW-16H5S features 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD+R DL and 4x DVD-R DL writing speeds.

Like Lite-On's other drives, the SHW-16H5S includes features like SMART-BURN, SMART-X and VAS technologies. In addition, the drive supports the LightScribe technology, which enables fast and quality labeling on the surface of Lightscribe media.
