CD Recording Tests

The LiteOn Slimtype supports 24X CD-R and 24X US-RW recording speeds.

The following screenshot confirms the maximum speed of 24X. The test started at 10.01X and finished at 24.05X, having an average speed of 17.11X. Click on the image for a full CDSpeed graph:

For the burning tests, we created an 80min data compilation through Nero Burning Rom and recorded the data on a 700MB disc. In only 5:40 mins, the LiteOn completed the task with a maximum speed of 24X.

In the graph that follows, we can see all the recording times with various discs, with the writting performance varying only slightly depending on the inserted media.

The LiteOn supports 24X Z-CLV rewriting speed with Ultra Speed Rewritable Media (US-RW).

Below you can see the Nero CD-DVD Speed writing simulation test with blank 24X US-RW media from Mitsubishi Chemicals.

The drive starts the writing task at 10.01X and reaches a maximum of 24.05X, having an average speed of 16.39X.
