8. Setting Time and Date
Right above you see the MacNstein system in all its glory. OSX is up and running and we do have almost everything a Macintosh should have (OK except for the chassis). ;-)
A couple of hours later I have found out that there was a timing problem. To be precise, the system clock seemed to work about one and a half time faster than usual; (VERY annoying!). After a bit of digging at the insanely mac forum I have found out a way to fix the problem. A 10.4.8 mifki kernel and yes, we had a winner! More info on forums:
You can now run everything a Mac can run on a stock PC. We advise you to do so. OSX is an operating system that moves the computer story a step ahead. It incorporates many nice “features” that your beloved Windows will try to catch in the next few months or even years. On the other hand, nothing is perfect in this world; you will have to choose if you can handle the loss of this entire great Windows library for the sake of OSX. For most users; it just won’t be their choice… for some others; they love it already…
