MSI to Unveil Smart EV Chargers at 2024 Taipei Auto Show

MSI to Unveil Smart EV Chargers at 2024 Taipei Auto Show

Consumer Electronics Jan 3,2024 0

MSI is set to make its debut at the 2024 Taipei Auto Show, showcasing its commitment to green opportunities in the automotive sector. Embracing the concept of AI-driven smart living, MSI is entering the new energy vehicle market with a range of residential and commercial AC smart chargers and Energy Management Systems (EMS). The spotlight product, the "EV AI" charger, integrating license plate recognition and payment features, recently earned the 2024 Taiwan Excellence Award, marking a significant stride in the field of new energy vehicles. MSI aims to capitalize on the growing demand for charging infrastructure, contributing to the development of a sustainable ecosystem.

In response to global net-zero initiatives, MSI is not only reducing its carbon footprint but also actively innovating in the new energy product space. The first wave of three smart AC chargers has received Taiwan CNS safety certification this year and will soon be available for public orders, with detailed information to be announced at the 2024 Taipei auto show at the end of December.

MSI's EV chargers lineup includes the "EV Life," designed for personal home use, featuring a sleek and minimalist design with a black piano mirror finish. With a charging power of up to 14.4 kW / 60A, it meets the charging needs of most households and flexibly supports both U.S. Type 1 (SAE J1772) and European Type 2 (IEC 62196) charging connectors. Users can initiate charging through a mobile app, take advantage of charging scheduling to save on electricity costs, and extend the life of their electric vehicle batteries.

For commercial applications such as public parking lots, charging stations, and construction projects, MSI introduces two solutions: "EV Premium" and "EV AI." Both solutions offer QR code payment and RFID card sensing features, with "EV AI" further enhancing parking management and charging experiences through license plate recognition. MSI also provides EMS cloud management systems and customized API integration services, enabling remote monitoring for venue owners and operators. Additionally, MSI collaborates with the Taiwan Power Company to implement smart energy management, enhancing electrical safety and cost control through time-of-use pricing.

MSI, a leading brand in global gaming and business, has strategically positioned itself in the automotive market for several years. The EV chargers to be showcased, are proudly 100% Taiwanese-made, offer diverse smartphone applications, aiming to provide electric vehicle owners with a simple, seamless, and high-quality charging experience. MSI envisions enabling worry-free journeys and an effortless embrace of green energy for a renewed lifestyle.
