- Writing Quality

In order to examine the NEC ND-6500A's DVD+R DL writing quality, we used the LiteOn SOHD-167T and the Plextor PX-712SA drives.

• Verbatim Double Layer media @ 2.4X

• Traxdata Double Layer media @ 2.4X

The ND-6500A kept on producing good quality discs, even with double layer media. However, a small drawback is that the default booktype is set to DVD+R DL, reducing compatibility with stand-alone DVD players.
