Teac announced the new DV-W58E ATAPI internal drive which supports 8x DVD+R/RW recording. The drive can also burn CD-R at 32x and CD-RW at 16x. DV-W58E offers 8x DVD+R and DVD+RW recording, and is the first to announce 8x writing for DVD+RW. The drive automatically adjusts the recording speed to maintain high writing quality. Moreover,the adopted "high-speed ROPC (Running OPC)" performs about 4,800 samplings per second.

More information about the drive is expected very soon. DV-W58E will be available in the Japanese market this month.
