Nokia Sends Lumia Phone Gift To Galaxy Owner That Saw His Smartphone Smoked During Charging
Nokia has offered a free Lumia device to a man who made headlines earlier this month when its Samsung Galaxy S4 caught fire earlier and Samsung tried to silence him.
Richard Wygand's Galaxy S4 was burned while it was charging and Samsung's reaction to his video on Youtube describing the incident was a letter to Wygand, which was demanding him to put the video offline.
Nokia tried to take advantage of the publicity Wygand received as he received great support by the internet. Through Twitter, Nokia contacted Wygan and offered him a Windows Phone 8-powered Lumia device.
Nokia's stance seems to be succesful as according to Twitter exchanges between Nokia and Wygand, Wygand appears open to the possibility of switching from Samsung's Android-powered phone to Nokia's Windows Phone 8 device. Nokia, in the course of the exchanges, ascertained Wygand's wireless carrier, and a device is likely on the way.
