Nokia Unveils Two 3G 8800-series Phones
Cellpone maker Nokia unveiled two third-generation (3G) 8800-series mobile phones on Tuesday, 8800 Arte and 8800 Sapphire Arte.
The premium handsets feature a 2.0" QVGA 240x320 pixels, OLED display with up to 16 million colors, a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera with 8x digital zoom, 1 GB built in memory space, a MicroUSB all-in-one-connector and ananti-fingerprint coating on metal and glass.
Each handset comes with an assortment of mobile accessories that includes a Nokia BH-803 Bluetooth headset with Active Noise Cancellation and touch sensitive volume adjustment. Each handset also comes with a leather pouch and a separate matching desk stand.
The Nokia 8800 Arte will start shipping in the fourth quarter of 2007 with an estimated retail price of 1000 EUR ($1,462) before taxes and subsidies.
The 8800 Sapphire Arte will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2008 at 1,150 euros before taxes and subsidies, Nokia said in a statement.
