"...Philips presents a new write technology, which will be used in the future into all CD-RW burners. The thermal Balanced Writing technology (TBW) improves the data integrity by the dynamic controlling of laser writing current with all CDRW blanks.

Lucien Bertotti, Product marketing manager, Philips MultiMedi Solutions Europe declares as new technology: "The physical limitations, which indicate cheap CD or CD-RW, lead when conventional burning with eightfold [...] rate to a rise of the error rate. Philips sets developed TBW technology for the solution of this problem on the new.
