Philips Releases 21:9 Monitors
MMD, brand license partner for Philips Monitors, launched a series of new Philips displays with new technologies at this year?s IFA consumer-electronics show in Berlin, Germany.
Highlights include the first 'UltraWide' 21:9 format with a 29" screen, 'Gioco'- the Ambiglow display for 3D gaming, IPS display with Smart MHL technology that connects and mirrors your Android smart phone, and an 27" high resolution PLS display.
This autumn, Philips is bringing its 21:9 aspect ratio to monitors. The monitor is boasting a 29" screen with 2560x1080 AH-IPS technology plus Multiview, which increases your productivity with active dual screen, active dual source. Other useful options include a USB 3.0 hub and stereo speakers.
Furthermore, the new Philips GIOCO is boasting a 27-inch screen with an ultra narrow bezel, which combines 3D viewing and employs the Philips' Ambiglow technology which creates an image-matching halo of light on rear wall and visually enlarges the screen. Ambiglow was also used at Philips' 21:9 TV sets.
Also in the IFA line-up was the new Philips IPS display with Smart MHL. It? 23-inch screen with the latest mobile High Definition technology enables users to watch photos, play games or watch HD videos directly from Android smart phones - while recharging their mobile device at the same time.
MMD also unveiled Philips' professional 27" PLS display with clear, ultra-high resolution 2560x1440 images. It has a plethora of productivity boosting tools. Multiview technology allows you to simultaneously connect and view dual sources, while its 2 megapixel webcam enables you to communicate freely. Other features include a super speed USB 3.0 and PowerSensor, which helps you decrease your energy costs.
And finally, MMD unveiled glass free Autostereoscopic 3D display, whereby viewers can now experience full 3D quality without the use of special glasses. The monitor has been designed for the living room but also for graphic enthusiasts and professionals working with CAD applications e.g. in interior design or architecture.
