Philips Electronics announced a reference design for DVD+R/+RW hybrid HD recorder. First samples are expected to be ready in July and mass production will begin a couple of months later. The reference design uses the PNX7100 MPEG-2 codec and includes a DVD+R/+RW recorder kit, mainboard, design notes, software and related documents.
