Pinnacle Unveils Next Generation of Studio Software

Pinnacle Unveils Next Generation of Studio Software

Enterprise & IT Sep 2,2005 0

Avid Technology today announced industry's most popular home video editing product family. The release is on track for volume production in September with expected availability at retail outlets in October, in time for the holiday buying season.

Pinnacle Studio 10 will now be available in two packages:

Studio - which is designed for entry level storytellers who are looking for an easy way to enhance and share precious memories with family and friends; and Studio Plus - which is intended for advanced video enthusiasts who require additional power, control, and quality to create more professional looking results. Both products are loaded with a wide range of new features that further streamline the three-step - Capture, Enhance, and Share - process.

Studio version 10

Studio version 10 incorporates popular features like built-in DVD authoring with motion menus and custom navigation, as well as Pan and Zoom, enabling users to quickly create engaging video slideshows from digital photos. With Smart Movie II, customers can develop home movies in minutes, choosing styles and genres and applying them with the click of a button. In addition, customers can create and preview effects in real-time, perform instant transfers to DVD, and organize videos, photos, audio and music files for drag and drop editing with Pinnacle Media Manager.

Studio Plus version 10

Version 10 of Studio Plus incorporates all of the features of Studio and additionally supports picture in picture (PIP), Chroma Key effects (green screen) and, full HD editing, particularly creating HD slide shows from digital photos. Users can also take advantage of keyframeable, real-time effects with preview, choosing from hundreds of standard and bonus effects and transitions that are format independent (SD and HD), and then previewing their work in full resolution on a primary or secondary computer monitor. Studio Plus is also found in Studio MediaSuite, a software suite that includes photo, audio and CD/DVD burning applications.

In addition to the software packages available, Pinnacle Systems offers four packages that include hardware that are available with either Studio or Studio Plus. Those products enable users to capture content from both DV and analogue video cameras as well as VCRs. The hardware also enables output back to digital video cameras and some analogue devices allowing real-time previewing on a television from either a PC or a laptop.

Pinnacle Studio version 10 products are expected to be available in October 2005 through the Pinnacle Systems website (www.pinnaclesys.com) and at major retailers. Software products begin at the manufacturer's suggested retail price of £49.99inc VAT and combination software and hardware offerings start at a manufacturer?s suggested retail price of £69.99inc VAT. All existing Pinnacle Studio customers can upgrade to Pinnacle Studio Plus version 10 for £39.99inc VAT.
