Redmi Teases With Upcoming Smartphone With 64MP Camera
Redmi has released a teaser for its upcoming smartphone, which reveals a 64MP camera and a few details about the images it can capture.
According to the teaser released on Weibo, the smartphone is going to be launched soon in China. It will feature a quad-camera setup, with the 64MP to be the primary lens.
Yesterday, Redmi also shared an image taken by a 64MP camera that highlighted the clarity of the picture and the negligible loss in details of the picture while zooming. The pictures captured with the 64MP lens of the new Xiaomi smartphone will be up to 20MB in size and the company claims that the quality of the picture produced with this camera will even exceed the resolution of an 8K TV.
Xiaomi could use Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor for the new smartphone. The specific sensor is capable of producing 16MP images even in poor lighting conditions, achieved by merging four pixels to one using the Tetracell technology. It can also convert color filters to give 64MP shots.
Besides Xiaomi, Realme is also working towards launching a 64MP camera smartphone.
