With the CD-ROM function, the MP9060A offers ordinary software installation and game options, with CD-R or CD-RW media it can function as a powerful storage system, even permitting original music CD creation, or offering photo album possibilities. And with DVD-ROM function, it offers cinema possibilities for the playing back of DVD-Video. And all of these features come in one unit. The MP9060A can write at a speed of 6X (4X for CD-RW writing) and read at 24X, and for DVD it can read at a speed of 4X.
1. New optical pickup technology enables the drive to handle CD and DVD media Double laser diodes in one pickup module enable CD-R/RW function and DVD-ROM function in one drive. A single laser diode with 780nm wave length supports CD-R/RW and CD-ROM while another diode, with 650nm wave length supports DVD-ROM. And extra large 2 MB buffer memory assures smooth DVD title play back even with low quality media.(Most DVD-ROM drives only have 512KB buffer memory).
