Samsung Gear Fit 2 And Gear Icon X Earbuds Coming Next Month
Samsung Electronics is set to release its healthcare tracking smartband Gear Fit 2 as well as the Gear IconX wireless earbuds as early as next month. Focused more on fitness monitoring functions, Gear Fit 2 part of Samsung's plan to expand to the the mobile healthcare industry.
The new model is expected to come with a built-in GPS to allow users to better track their outdoor activities, adding to the heart rate sensor and a pedometer that its predecessor already has.
The wristband will also feature an embedded Samsung bio-processor, which will measure body fat, skeletal muscle mass, heart rate, heart rhythm, skin temperature and galvanic skin response (GSR) - the body’s physiological response based on sweat production. It can also produce new physical information by combining two or more data.
Samsung also today posted on its website images of the Gear IconX Bluetooth wireless earbuds.
Samsung hasn't gone official with the products, so no specs are available.
Rumors suggest that the Gear Fit 2 will pack significant improvements over the original with a 1.84-inch AMOLED screen, 4GB of storage, integrated GPS, water resistance, and a bunch of fitness features.
