Samsung QLED TVs Earns ULTRA HD PREMIUM Certification
Samsung Electronics said Monday that its 2017 QLED TV line-up - including Q9, Q8 and Q7 models - has won ULTRA HD PREMIUM certification from the UHD Alliance.
The UHDA, comprising more than 50 member companies, is a global coalition of film studios, consumer electronics manufacturers and content distributors, grants its ULTRA HD PREMIUM logo to products and services that meet or exceed its essential standards including 4K resolution, high dynamic range (HDR), peak luminance and wide color spectrum among others.
According to the tech giant, its QLED TV lineup, first unveiled at CES 2017, can express all colors at any level of brightness, including the subtlest differences visible at the QLED's peak luminance, and provide deeper black levels without color distortion and best contrast at any places.
Earlier this month, Samsung''s QLED TV has received verification from Germany's testing and certification association, Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), for its ability to produce 100 percent color volume.
