Samsung to Release Proprietary Mobile Application Processor Core
Curently, most mobile application processors in the market use ARM's standard CPU core. Apple's A series uses ARM's design as well, although Apple's Cyclone core is a version partially modified to be suitable for the iPhone and iPad.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon series is also based on ARM, but the custom core of Krait is adopted in it for product suitability. The Krait is not used in the 64-bit Snapdragon 810. Qualcomm is planning to apply the new core of Kyro to the Snapdragon 820 and the following ones.
