Samsung to Showcase The Chronos Series Of Ultra-slim Laptops at IFA

Samsung will have on display its Series 7 "Chronos" series of high-performance notebooks at the IFA 2011 show in Berlin, Germany. The 23.9 mm thin notebooks feature an aluminum chasis and have been designed to provide an extra 1-inch space to its screen, featuring the Max-screen technology - 15" screen in a 14" chasis.

They will be available in variations powered by Intel Core i7 and i5 CPUs, 750GB HDDs and will feature Samsung's Fast Start and ExpressCache technologies, for ultra fast booting up, switching between operation modes and quick web browsing.

The Chronos series is also equipped with a SuperBright antipreflective HD+ display (1600x900), which features 300nit of brightness and reproduces 16 million colors.

The included battery will offer up to 8 hours of operation on a single charge.

The Samsung Series 7 will be available starting October 2, 2011. It will retail for $999 $1,299. All Samsung mobile PC products are available through Samsung resellers and distribution channels.
