Samsung Teases With Battery Features of Upcoming Galaxy Note 9

Samsung Teases With Battery Features of Upcoming Galaxy Note 9

Smartphones Jul 26,2018 0

Samsung's expected to announce its Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 in New York City and it seems the company is ready to get back into the big battery business.

A teaser for the phone flaunts a new, larger battery. Some rumors suggest it could have a capacity of 4,000mAh, making it the largest battery ever built into a Note device.

The Note 7 included a 3,500mAh battery, and that device ended up being recalled after many devices spontaneously exploded or caught fire.

Here is Samsung's own words about the event:

Are you tired of your smartphone slowing you down?

On August 9 in New York City, Samsung Electronics will unveil a device that will allow you to get the most out of everything you do. The newest addition to the Galaxy family's most premium line has been optimized from the inside out to keep up with users' busy lives, with technologies that raise the bar for smartphone power, performance and speed.

Together, these enhancements make Samsung's newest flagship its most powerful yet, and the only device you need to manage work, play and everything in between.

In more teaser commercials, Samsung has decided to publicise features which are true world firsts for the Galaxy range.

"Never have enough storage?", Samsung flaunts. While Samsung used to load its Galaxy phones with as much memory as possible, since 2015 it has actually cut them back to the bare minimum and relied on the microSD expansion slot instead. This despite Samsung making huge smartphone storage capacities and selling them to rivals like Apple.

The Galaxy Note 9 changes this and it will come with an industry-leading 512GB with its microSD card able to add a further 1TB.

Samsung's third teaser is called "Phone too slow?" and it promotes the Galaxy Note 9's performance, which we know will be the first mass-market Galaxy to come with 8GB of RAM.
