Sharp today announced another Blu-Ray and HDD combo with the BD-HDS43, a mid-level Blu-Ray HDD combo with a single Digital and Analog TV tuner, 320GB of HDD and the ability to write on Blu-Ray DL discs. The device is equipped with a ground/BS/110 S digital tuner as well as an analog tuner, a 320GB HDD and an MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 transcoder.

Up to 36 hours of HD content can be stored on the device's HDD, and then be burned on BD-R/RE, BD-R DL/RE DL, DVD-R/RW or DVD-R DL discs. The BD-HDS43 does not support direct recording on optical discs, or DVDs using the AVCREC encoding.
