SmartDisk ships fireWire CD-R/W

SmartDisk ships fireWire CD-R/W

General Interest Jan 9,2001 0

"...SmartDisk today introduced the VST FireWire CD-R/W, a portable, high-performance drive designed for on-the-go "road warriors" who need to quickly store digital data on CDs while traveling or when away from the office. The VST FireWire CD-R/W is the only portable CD-R/W that does not require a battery or AC adapter for power. The unit derives its power from a computer's FireWire bus via a standard two-foot FireWire cable. In addition, the unit features "plug & play" support, which allows immediate use upon plug-in without the need to shut down or reconfigure the computer. With minimal wires, a compact size (approximately 5.6"x7"x1") and a front-loading/ejection CD tray.

VST FireWire CD-R/W comes preloaded with Adaptec's Easy CD Creator, Toast and MusicMatch Jukebox. The VST FireWire CD-R/W is priced at $429.95 MSRP and is available now through SmartDisk's Personal Storage Systems Web site at http://www.vsttech.com..." NULL
