Sony announces new internal 16x/10x/40x CD-RW drive

Sony Computer Peripherals & Components Europe has introduced a new 16x/10x/40x speed internal CD-RW drive. Offering a high-speed, competitively-priced package, Sony’s CRX-1611 provides a comprehensive suite of content editing and recording software that is ideal for both professional and first-time users.

With an ability to burn a 650 megabyte CD in just five minutes, the CRX-1611 possesses state-of-the-art performance capabilities of 16x writing and 40x reading speed. It also incorporates BURN-Proof technology to secure CD-writing against buffer under-runs and to prevent the damage of CD-R media.

The CRX-1611 kit includes a comprehensive software package: in addition to B’z Gold for CD recording and B’z Clip for drag and drop packet writing, there is a variety of software for easy content creation and editing. Accessories supplied with the Sony CRX1611 CD-RW drive kit include interface and audio cables, a quickstart installation poster and a quickstart software guide.
