SureFire Harrier 360 Gaming HeadSet
3. Conclusion
Let's now see how this product performed during our daily usage.
First, you need to place the product in your head, In our case we found the product to be very comfortable. The earcups have a cushion, feel very soft and cuddly without a squeezing feeling or similar even after long periods of wear and you can adjust the length of the headband. However, after long time gaming sessions or music listening, our ears started to heat up, not in the matter to be discomfort but this have be noted down. very soft and cuddly without a squeezing feeling or similar even after long periods of wear
This headset doesn't have any kind of pivot adjustment, so they cannot be used for other than listening (DJing for example) but this also means they are less prone to break.
The included cord has a good length (2m) and fees good quality. The included microphone is very easy to install and can be bent in all directions, and we were surprised with its clarity, no complaints here from our fellow gamers.
With the included controller you can
- Change the volume with the wheel on the remote (+/-)
- Turn off the microphone on the remote or disconnect the microphone from the headset.
- Change the 3 light modes of the lighting (Stati, changing colors, or turning off LED) with the LED button on the remote.
- Turn off the LEDs on the headset by pressing the LED button on the remote twice.
The overall sound quality is nice and warm. This headset has been tuned mostly for middle/high frequencies and while the bass is there, it won't shake you up. This product is clearly designed for gaming use and music listening, while possible, isn't its best area.
While this product is advertised as 7.1, under Windows OS there isn't such an option and while listening to music we didn't feel that 7.1 surround effect. The highest output volume is OK, meaning it will not blow you away or leave you feeling you need much more. For our tests, we had almost around 80% of the total output power to be enjoyable when gaming.
The biggest negative of this headset is the fact that cannot be used with an external cable via a jack. For example, with PS4/PS5 controllers you could connect the headset to the PS controller, but now you have to use the USB port of the PS4/PS5 console.
Overall we feel that the SureFire Harrier 360 gaming headset is a very good product with an affordable price (36.80 Euro, 2 year warranty) for users who wish to play long gaming sessions without breaking the bank. If you are in the market for such a product, take a look at the Harrier 360 and you won't be disappointed at all.
