Testing the Thermal Hero products was a nice surprise because we found at least two very good products we can highly suggest. The first is the Thermal Hero Metalliq which, as was expected, performed the best, due to its liquid metal properties. We all know that Liquid metal has the best conductivity, but according to many users, metal liquid has a limited lifetime so you might need to re-apply after a period of time.

The Thermal Hero Quantum was very close at all tests and while falls behind at the maximum 222TDP setting, we can also suggest it since as a silicon-based thermal paste, hasn't got any hazards during installation and performance will last much longer than what metal liquid will. The Thermal Hero Ultra product, while at low TDPs was very close to the previous products and didn't perform very well (compared to the Metalliq and Quantum) at the 170TDP and 222TDP tests.

The Thermal Hero Neo clearly aims for the low 65watt/105watt TDPs, while 170/222watt TDPs will introduce much higher overall working temperatures so we don't recommend it. The last product in this comparison is the Nero Thermal Pad, which compared with other pads we have seen in the past is thick (0.5mm) so probably isn't suitable for CPU applications, at least with our test setup. Probably memory modules and other applications would be much more suitable.

Comparing all products, let's also see their retail prices, the Metalliq and Quantum are priced equally at $9.90, while the Ultra and Neo are somewhat lower.

Thermal Hero Thermal Paste Retail price (1gr package)
Metalliq $9,90
Quantum $9.90
Ultra $6.90
Neo $5.90

Concluding this review, we found both the Thermal Hero Metalliq and Quantum to be two very good thermal paste products that will transfer very efficient heat from the surface of your CPU to the CPU cooler base. Their retail price is also very affordable (compared with similar performance products), so we highly suggest them for all users to enjoy! Great work Thermal Hero :-)
