TSMC To Make Apple's A8 Chip: rumors
For one more time, Digitimes.com reported that Apple would be moving its chip business away from Samsung to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
The report claims that only a portion of the production will move to Taiwan, sourcing Korean publication Hankyung.
The Korea Economic Daily is also claiming that Samsung will still make 30-40 percent of the A8 processors in next year's iPhone 6.
Rumors have repeatidly Apple shifting production of its iPhone and iPad chips since 2011.
Recent iPhone 5s teardowns confirmed that the Apple's latest A7 chip was made by Samsung.
