TTR Technologies reports completion of SafeAudio v3.0!

General Interest Nov 7,2001 0

TTR TECHNOLOGIES today reported the completion of development of a new version of its SAFEAUDIO copy protection system for audio CDs. TTR said it and its strategic alliance partner, Macrovision Corporation, will be releasing SAFEAUDIO Version 3 to several recording labels for testing in a few weeks. It is designed to address issues raised during initial testing by the labels. The company said that during the quarter Macrovision signed an agreement with Sonopress to be the first SAFEAUDIO Worldwide Reseller. Sonopress, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann Arvato AG, is a leading information media manufacturer catering mainly to the music, video, and computer hardware/software and entertainment industries. Marc Tokayer, chairman and chief executive officer, commented, ``In addition to our continuing development work on our SAFEAUDIO product, we continue to make progress in our efforts to leverage TTR's existing copy protection technology by developing a means of protecting against DVD-ROM piracy. We have a demonstration product ready and are investigating our options for marketing this product.
