"Velocity Mobile" Announces Two High End Windows Mobile Phones
A new Seattle-based company called Velocity Mobile will be making its first foray into the smartphone space later this year, in the form of two high-end Windows Mobile Professional phones, called the Velocity 103 and 111.
The company, with support from Taiwan-based manufacturer Inventec Appliance, will be marketing its devices towards both business users and high-end consumers, emphasizing a customized user experience for ease of use, as well as high specifications. Both models feature:
Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
Qualcomm MSM7201 processor
Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11g WiFi, and USB On-The-Go
128 MB RAM and 256 MB flash
Internal GPS
Quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band HSDPA (7.2 Mbit)
TV and VGA output
The Velocity 103 distinguishes itself with a 2.8 inch VGA screen, while the Velocity 111 sacrifices both size and resolution, offering a thumb keyboard and a 2.4 inch QVGA display.
