WHV Announces Titles and Release Dates for both HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats

Warner Home Video (WHV), which distributes the largest film library of any studio, announced yesterday at CES 2006, that will support both HD DVD and Blu-Ray formats. Warner Home Video (WHV) announced at CES 2006 a confirmed list of 24 HD-DVD and 15 titles on the Blu-ray high definition disc formats. The first of these titles will be released on March 28, 2006.

"Warner Bros. has always been an innovator in home entertainment and is committed to delivering the best experience in any format. With movies and television shows on HD DVD, our customers will be able to enjoy their favorite Warner Bros. programming in stunning high definition," said Ron Sanders, President, Warner Home Video. "We are pleased to confirm the availability of 24 titles which will enable consumers to start building their high definition libraries."

"Consumers now expect cinema quality on their home systems and providing our titles in high definition will help create an unparalleled viewing experience."

WHV title support for HD DVD will continue throughout 2006, with new theatrical releases such as Superman Returns and Poseidon being introduced simultaneously on standard DVD and HD DVD formats. Additional releases from the catalog will be introduced throughout the balance of 2006, including both theatrical and TV products. HBO Video, distributor of critically-acclaimed television series, films and theatrical features, also plans to issue releases on HD DVD through Warner Home Video, its distribution partner.

"The high definition experience ushers in an exciting, leading-edge way of providing programming in the highest quality possible to our home audience," said Henry McGee, president, HBO Video. "HBO's future HD DVD releases will include award-winning programs such as The Sopranos and Deadwood."
