Consumer Electronics Oct 19,2015 0

Xiaomi is noit just a phone manufacturer. The Chinese company todayunveiled a a 60-inch 4K TV, which measures 11.6mm at its thinnest point and most importantly, it costs just RMB 4,999 ( $785). Mi TV 3 uses a 4K display made by LG and it accompanied by a sound system, the Mi TV Bar. The device looks like a classic soundbar, but inside there's a MStar 6A928 processor (quad-core Cortex A17, Mali-T760), 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of flash storage. Once connected through the Mi Port you'll gain access to MIUI TV, Xiaomi's Android-based smart TV platform.

Mi TV Bar can be also bought separately and hook it up to any TV, monitor or projector. It'll set you back RMB 999 ($157).

These devices will be shipped in China.

Ninebot mini

Xiaomi also revealed its first collaboration with Ninebot and Segway, a self-balancing scooter called Ninebot mini.

The Ninebot Mini resembles a Segway with its two-wheel design and follows Xiaomi's investment in Ninebot and Ninebot's subsequent acquisition of Segway.

The 'vehicle' has been built from magnesium alloy that Xiaomi says is aerospace-grade. It can hit speeds of up to 16km/hour and can go 22km on a single change. It is able to handle a 15-degree uphill incline and weighs less than 13kg.

Tailored to fans of Xiaomi's Mi, it can actually be controlled by smartphone.

The Ninebot mini will be available in China priced at RMB 1999 - about $315.
