Linux OS Solution for CD/DVD Burning

Linux OS Solution for CD/DVD Burning

Optical Storage Aug 2,2005 0

Nero has announced the release of NeroLINUX 2.0.0.2.

This upgraded version of Nero's Linux OS solution for CD/DVD Burning features Layer-Jump Recording (LJR), DVD-Video and miniDVD mastering, and user interface changes like selectable ISO track recording options and assignable sounds that alert the user to the burn process results.

NeroLINUX is Layer-Jump Recording software, which enables multisession burning, improved read compatibility, and a memory capacity of up to 8.5GB on dual-layer DVD-R media. The software allows data to be added to a disc over several burning sessions.

In addition, the current NeroLINUX already supports burning data and disc images to CDs and DVDs, Bootable CDs and DVDs, Audio CDs with CD text, Mixed Mode CDs, CD-EXTRA, Multisession CDs and DVDs, and Double Layer DVDs. It is provided as a standard Linux package in RPM or DEB. Supported 32-bit distributions include Red Hat 7.2, 7.3, 8, and 9; Enterprise Linux 3; SuSE 8, 8.1, 8.2, 9, 9.1, and 9.2; and Debian 3.
