39 MP Digital Camera Back Launched
Phase One today begins shipping the the P 45 a digital camera back with a 39 Mega Pixel sensor, capturing images at 7,216-x-5,412 in a single exposure, or 10,600-x-7,216 pixels using a double exposure.
Commercial photographers in the advertising and marketing fields achieve speed and efficiency through the P 45's capture rate of 35 frames per minute and write speed of up to 20 MB per second.
The P 45 digital camera back also includes Phase One's secure storage system (3S) technology, which eliminates the risk of writing to damaged storage media by first checking the validity on every compact flash storage card inserted in the camera back.
The P45 captures images with a 16 bit per colour depth and a range of 12 f-stops. It supports ISO ratings of 50, 100, 200 and 400. Up to 35 frames per minute can be captured, based on a write speed of 20MB per second.
The back features a lithium ion battery with a lifetime of four hours or 250 shots, according to Phase One. A 2.2-inch LCD allows images to be viewed, as well as histogram data, exposure warnings and ISO rating.
