ASUS P5WDH Incorporates Digital Home Features to Intel Core2 Extreme and Core2 Duo CPU Platforms

P5W DH Deluxe Offers Auto Data Backup and Remote Controller for Rich Digital Home Functions ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), the worldwide leader of motherboards, today introduced the P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, which leveraged rich digital home features and supports both Intel's Core2 Extreme and Core2 Duo processors and ATI CrossFire graphics to deliver multimedia entertainment, wireless networking, data protection and easy access and management of various functions without being confined by the computer desk.

DH Remote - Control the Computer from a distance

Use the DH Remote to turn the computer on and off, activate suspend mode and of course access and manage the various digital home features offered by the P5W DH Deluxe. Of the course the remote provides the conventional remote functions, such as volume control, play, pause, fast forward and rewind, as well. With the DH Remote, users can do more with their computers at a distance.

EZ-Backup - Your data are in good hands

No driver, no configuration, just plug and activate RAID to backup your data instantaneously. Exclusive to EZ-Backup, users can utilize SATA2 technology to arrange RAID 1 (default) or RAID 0 systems without BIOS or any other setup process. EZ-Backup is ideal for anyone who wishes to back up hard drive data but doesn't want the hassle of complicated software configurations.

WiFi-AP Solo – Wireless connection even when the system sleeps

WiFi AP Solo allows a new level of PC versatility by providing both access point (AP) and wireless client modes. Even when the system sleeps the AP mode continues to connect devise in the WLAN for games, Internet access and printer functions sharing. WiFi-AP Solo is an onboard feature, which means users can save the extra cost for a standalone AP.

MP3-In - Music Enjoyment Even When PC is Off

The "System Off" function also extends to music playback. Even when the computer is off, users can still play music stored in their portable music players through the computer speakers.

8-Phase Power design

It delivers steadier power supply for the CPU by generating less heat than conventional power solutions and providing a cool computing environment for stable performance and higher overclocking margin. It reduces input ripple current and output ripple voltage, preventing the CPU and power modules from the risk of high power stress.

Fan-less design – Heat-pipe thermal solution

The fan-less concept is specifically created to provide a cool environment without all the baggage. The heat pipe, heat sinks and strategic board layout were tailor made to dissipate heat in the most efficient manner.

Stack Cool 2

Stack Cool 2 is a fan-less and zero-noise cooling solution offered exclusively by ASUS. It effectively transfers heat generated by the critical components to the other side of the specially designed PCB (printed circuit board) for effective heat dissipation without the noise from high-speed fan rotation.
