Former News Corp President Bids For Hulu

Former News Corp President Bids For Hulu

Enterprise & IT Apr 6,2013 0

Reuters today reported that former News Corp president Peter Chernin has bid around $500 million for Hulu video streaming service, citing sources with knowledge of Hulu's sale process. Chernin is a former Hulu board member, who left News Corp in 2009 to assemble The Chernin Group.

Hulu's website is jointly controlled by News Corp and Walt Disney Co. It has more than 3 million subscribers for its premium offering.

None of the related parties - Chernin, Hulu, News Corp and Disney commented on the report.

Dish and Google had also bidded for Hulu in 2011.
