Sony and Panasonic Cancel OLED TV Partnership: report
Sony and Panasonic have decided to call off a deal to partner on the production of OLED televisions, the Wall Street Journal reports citing anonymous sources for the news.
The report adds that the companies would focus on bringing LCD-based 4K televisions to the market instead, following LG and Samsung, which will also use LCD panels for their upcoming 4K TVs.
Both Sony and Panasonic exhibited 56-inch 4K OLED television prototypes at CES earlier this year, but neither ended up releasing them.
