Samsung Expands Galaxy Line with Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Young 2, and Galaxy Star 2
Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Ace 4, and Galaxy Young 2, expanding its Galaxy line with more affordable models. All the new Galaxy devices are equipped with Samsung’s simplified TouchWiz Essence interface and the latest Android 4.4 operating system.
The Galaxy Core II sports a leather-like back cover design and comes with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 4.5-inch display and a 2,000mAh battery. The device also offers a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Samsung’s simplified TouchWiz Essence interface, and the latest Android 4.4 operating system. These features are supported with the Galaxy Core II’s Dual SIM technology.
The compact Galaxy Ace 4 sports is powered by a 1.0 GHz dual-core processor as well as a 1500mAh battery. It is featuring the Android 4.4 operating system along with Samsung’s simplified TouchWiz Essence interface.
The stylish Galaxy Young 2 is powered by a 1.0 GHz single-core processor and a 1300mAh battery. It is equipped with 3MP camera and a 3.5-inch HVGA display. The Galaxy Young 2 also offers Samsung’s TouchWiz Essence interface and the latest Android 4.4 software.
The Galaxy Star 2 is small enough to use with one hand and fit in a pocket. The device sports a 1.0GHz single-core processor, a 2-megapixal camera and is supported by a 1,300mAh battery. The Galaxy Star 2 comes with eight downloadable Gameloft games for users to enjoy on the device’s 3.5-inch HVGA display.
Samsung has not yet revealed the pricing or shipping details of these handsets, but considering the specifications, it is likely the new models are aimed at lower budgets.
