Samsung' Next QLED TVs Will Be Launched Under The SUHD QLED TV Name

Samsung' Next QLED TVs Will Be Launched Under The SUHD QLED TV Name

Consumer Electronics Oct 18,2016 0

Samsung Electronics will peomote its next QLED TV as 'SUHD QLED TV', as the S. Korean company is trying to convince that its next-generation TV surpasses the OLED TVs, offered by rival LG lectronics. The company wasnt to make people aware that a Quantum-Dot TV is a premium TV through a marketing campaign.

Samsung has registered the 'SUHD QLED TV' as a trademark with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. THis means that the SUHD QLED TV label could be also used
for TV receivers, display panels, software, industrial monitors, or even displays for smartphones.

Samsung plans to introduce 3rd generation Quantum-Dot TV at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) that will be helld next January.

Quantum-Dot TVs use BLU (Back-Light Unit) like LCD TVs and produce colors by attaching Quantum-Dot films in the front. On the other hand, QLED TVs do not use BLU and each inorganic nano-particle produces light.
