HPE to Acquire BlueData

HPE to Acquire BlueData

Enterprise & IT Nov 27,2018 0

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has agreed to purchase BlueData, a provider of enterprise software for artificial intelligence and big data analytics.

HPE expects the acquisition to close within the company's first fiscal quarter, ending January 31, 2019.

Founded in 2012, BlueData is a privately-held company headquartered in Santa Clara. BlueData’s software platform uses container technology to make it simpler to deploy large-scale machine learning and big data analytics environments. HPE plans to combine BlueData’s software platform with its existing software-defined infrastructure to offer a solution for AI/ML and big data analytics.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
