Disney+ Will Stream on Amazon's Fire TV, Coming in Europe March 31st
Disney+ streaming is launching in the U.S. next week, and will be available on Amazon's Fire TV platform at launch.
Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed Disney's deal with Amazon.com Inc. during an interview with CNBC.
Along with Samsung and LG smart TVs, Fire sticks will join Roku, Apple TV, game consoles and other devices in supporting Disney's direct-to-consumer offering.
Disney+ launches in the US, Canada and the Netherlands November 12th for $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year. The service will be available in Australia and New Zealand a week later, but the rest of the world will need to wait a little longer. Disney fans in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain will get the service March 31st. Rollout dates for other nations will be announced soon, Disney said.
