Micron Announces Availability of “DID Agnostic” Server DRAM

Micron Announces Availability of “DID Agnostic” Server DRAM

Enterprise & IT Aug 10,2022 0

Micron released the following information regarding the availability and return to its Design-ID (DID) Agnostic server DRAM parts programme to increase the ease of doing business for commercial channel partners and customers. The company announced it will once again be offering Design-ID Agnostic server DRAM memory starting today. This change means less SKUs to track and manage over time, as the Micron Part Number (MPN) will be valid and remain consistent over the course of multiple years, resulting in simpler inventory management for channel partners and customers.

Additionally, the transition enables better supply availability for channel partners and customers, who can submit POs with one common part number and Micron can ship the most available compatible part to alleviate out-of-stock issues and prevent potential shipping delays. Kent Smith, Sr. Manager of Server DRAM Product Marketing, Micron Commercial Products Group: “By offering Design-ID Agnostic server DRAM memory to our channel partners and customers, we’re providing them with increased flexibility and a simplified approach to server memory inventory management. We aim to be their supplier of choice by creating programs that make it easy to do business with Micron.”
