LiteOn LTC-48161H
We burned with LiteOn drive a variety of CD-R media, in order to measure the jitter. Note that the recording speed for each disc is the maximum allowed by the drive.
- 3T Pit results
The 3T Pit Jitter was higher in the outer parts of the various discs, where the corresponding writing speed was reaching the 48X. The TDK 48X, Mitsubishi Chemicals 48X and Emtec 48X media gave the highest jitter, without, however, exceeding the 40nsec. The rest of the media we tested gave good results.
- 3T Land results
The 3T Land Jitter values are lower than the corresponding Pit values. An exception to this is the TDK 48X disc measurements. The jitter reached the 46nsec some minutes before the end of the disc area.

The LiteOn drive performed very well concidering the fact that is is actually a combo drive. The jitter values were acceptable for the most CD-R media we tested, and the high writing speeds did not affect the writing quality, at least from the jitter aspect.
